2004 Infiniti M Press Kit: At A Glance
The distinctive 2004 Infiniti M45 performance sports sedan, which will be at dealerships in February 2004, holds an important place in Infiniti’s lineup of powerful rear-wheel drive sedans, positioned between the flagship Q45 – with which it shares many major drivetrain components – and the G35 Sport Sedan. The M45 not only delivers an astonishing driving experience from its advanced 340-horsepower V8 engine and 4-wheel independent suspension, it also offers a level of attributes and features not found in similarly priced 6-cylinder-equipped competitive models.
For 2004, the M45 interior receives a driver's seat two-position memory system, electrochromic auto-dimming rearview mirror, HomeLink® Universal Transceiver, and electronic compass as standard equipment (previously part of the Comfort and Convenience Package). Also new is a Navigation/ Voice Recognition Package which features Infiniti’s DVD Navigation system and voice recognition system. Highlights of the 2004 Infiniti M45 performance sport sedan include:
Body
- Distinctive, sculpted exterior with a 110.2-inch wheelbase
- Body-color side molding, body-color mirrors with integral turn signals, chrome door handles
- High Intensity Discharge (HID) xenon headlights and rear taillights with clear reflectors
- New exterior colors – Desert Platinum (replacing Golden Sand) and Twilight Blue
Engine and Driveline
- 4.5-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 producing 340-horsepower and 333 lb-ft torque
- Electronically controlled 5-speed automatic transmission with improved manual shift mode
- Front engine/rear-wheel drive with dual outlet exhaust
- Standard Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS) and cancel switch
- Standard cruise control, available Infiniti Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) system (designed to maintain selected following distances)
Suspension, Steering and Braking
- 4-wheel independent suspension with multi-link rear suspension, strut with coil spring front suspension, front and rear stabilizer bars and front strut tower bar
- Rack-and-pinion vehicle-speed-sensitive power steering
- 4-wheel power-assisted vented disc brakes, standard 4-wheel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Brake Assist (BA) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD)
- 18 x 7.5-inch aluminum-alloy wheels and P235/45WR18 high performance tires (all-season tires are also available at no additional cost)

- Standard Tire Pressure Monitor System with warning light
